Beach, Brayden & the Bulldogs

Every year my family takes a trip to the beach over Labor Day weekend. This year was a new and different experience for us since we have a baby, but we still had a great time seeing and visiting with family nonetheless. Instead of getting in the middle of the chaos of Seaside and Watercolor, we rented a house just next door, at Grayton Beach. It could not have been a better place. There was a long boardwalk that took us literally from the edge of the neighborhood to the white, sandy shores, and in the house, we had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy one another's company. Brayden watched his first Georgia football game with dad, complete in Dawg attire (complements of Grandpa Phillips) and I had plenty of sun time :). B did begin teething om the trip, which kept things interesting, but I did have Tylenol on hand (thanks to my sister Julie's excellent coaching!). While there we celebrated both Julie and my grandfather's birthdays. We always enjoy time with Julie and Brian and are amazed each time we see the girls, Ellie and Aubrey, and how much they've grown. We were grateful David could join us from Colorado and Jon's girlfriend, Jaime, was able to stay the entire weekend as well. We love Jaime and are excited to continue getting to know her. We are hoping to see David again over Christmas. Since he's been in Denver, out times together are few and we miss him and the way he always makes us laugh! Here are some family pics we took...why we opted for the morning, I'm not sure, but I'm confident we'll return to the sunset hour next time. Our squints are lovely!!
