our little MIRACLE...

Dear "Team,"

I affectionately call you team because of your commitment to stand with us in prayer over Neely and the issues we have confronted until this point in pregnancy. I am so very pleased to tell you that we saw the perinatologist again this morning for the 4th ultrasound (I am 21 weeks) and there are NO TRACES of the cystic hygromas anymore!!!! If you remember, they were separate structures and there is no trace of their presence!! The extra fluid on the back of the neck is GONE and the measurements are now within normal range. Additionally, the heart, which was the primary focus of today's visit, is NORMAL---normal size, normal outflow and volume of blood, normal bpm...normal! All other anatomical structures presented themselves to be healthy and evidence of a miracle! We are overjoyed to see these prayers answered for Neely's life to be sustained and healthy growth and development to occur. Because of today's findings, we can rule out 80-90% of usual heart defects. There is a small chance of discovering a hole in the heart, but this cannot be seen on ultrasound and we are not expecting this to be the case post-delivery.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for standing with us and supporting us in prayer. We cannot say enough how grateful we are for both you and today's news. We have found ourselves in that 2-4% window of having a normal baby. Praise Jesus! Her little life is a miracle!

Love to all,
Amy and Chris

PS: when I get the chance, I will scan in some pictures of Neely...she is precious! and when we asked Brayden if he was ready to have a baby sister, of course he replied "Hmm...No." :) He's a stinker and we love him to pieces.
