progress...sometimes backwards :)

Chris has been gone ALL week (another story for another post). I always turn into "eager beaver" when he's away, because I usually have 8,000 projects in my head to accomplish and think how great it would be if he came home and I had done at least 4,000 of them! This time was no different. After battling my loneliness and grumpy mood over the dark skies and pouring down rain, I began to make progress. So far, I have cleaned out Neely's closet (and you know how these things have a domino effect), cleaned out and reorganized 3 other closets, made piles for Goodwill, trash, and storage, moved all furniture in Neely's room to center of room so I could tape and paint, taped the whole room, and successfully painted one wall--the darker wall. I have also fallen backwards off the chair while taping the ceiling (miraculously did not hit my head on the dresser directly behind me!), run into the door handle (also backwards), producing a substantial bruise, and managed to have other mysterious bruises on my body from bumping into walls and door facings for no apparent reason. Aghhh...am I turning into clutz or what?! Pregnancy is the only time you find yourself ultimately humiliated and embarrassed and no one else to blame but those darn relaxed joints and loss of balance.

Here's the one painted wall in Neely's nursery. It's called Italiano Rose. And yes, I do have to finish the trim...did not cut in enough.
