Brayden's First Photo Shoot

I knew I wanted to have newborn pics taken of Brayden, but went back and forth trying to decide on a professional photographer or simplifying life a bit and taking him to Portrait Innovations, where several of my girlfriends have taken their children and been satisfied. On Tuesday I decided to give PI a try. First I must say that going anywhere with a newborn seems like such a chore! I am used to hopping in the car and whirling away to wherever my heart desires...usually Target! But now, I find myself avoiding errands because of the amount of time it takes just to get out of the house, not to mention it necessitates a shower and make-up :). Anyway, I'd made an appointment and allowed extra time to get ourselves ready to go. I have to say, I was terribly nervous that this whole idea of mine would flop. Why was I taking a 3 week old to have pictures made when he will likely cry, wet his diaper, and we'd end up with a roll of either yawns or tears. Brayden was a champ! I was so darn proud of him! He never once cried and the only problem we had was that the pictures were so good, I was overwhelmed with trying to make a decision. I can only make small, minor decisions these days and sifting through nearly 100 photos, trying to select which ones I wanted to purchase was a little much (for me anyway).
