Mission Accomplished!

I was a nervous wreck on Monday. At 7am Brayden and I pulled out of our driveway, headed for Pensacola. Chris had packed the car for me the night before, so after B's 6am feeding, we were ready to go! Did I mention I was a nervous wreck?! The very thought of merging onto 285 made me panic. I don't know what my problem is, other than hormones, and continual adjustment to having a baby, but I am easily overwhelmed. A 5 1/2 hr trip would quickly become a 6 1/2, possibly 7 hr trip with a 7 week old, and for me to be by myself with him was a little scary---what if he had a crying fit? I knew I would be on anxiety overload! I asked everyone to please pray against gas...gas is my biggest fear these days. It sounds silly, but this whole gas dillemna and my fear of it makes me realize what a control freak I am. I probably call the pediatrican's office 2x a week and I did tell the nurse yesterday that I know I am neurotic (in case she thinks I don't know). Anyway...I am happy to report that Brayden did GREAT! He burped appropriately, which gave me peace of mind, and slept nearly the whole way, with the exception of our hour long stop at Chick-Fil-A in Montgomery and some occasional "mom, I'm tired of this carseat" cries. Yeah for Brayden! Yeah for the Chick! and Yeah me for mission accomplished!
PS: Favorite new band, good for road trips: Zac Brown Band...hope you enjoy :)
