Brayden and I have had some really sweet moments in the past few days. I mentioned in a previous post that I just LOVE when he nuzzles close on my neck as I hold him. This is quite possibly my very favorite! Yesterday I was having a guilty, doubting, second-guessing kind-of day. So what did I do? called my sister. (I am so glad she has already been through all of this so I can text her with my daily entourage of questions.) B seemed especially clingy--wanting me to hold him and not at all satisfied if I left him to nap on his own. Then I realized his skin felt a bit clammy, sweaty in spots. I panicked, thinking "what if he has a fever and I didn't even know?" So...I called Julie. I took his temp 3x under his arm, trying to avoid the recommended rectal reading. His temp was normal, but I was still concerned. So when he woke up from his nap, I took it rectally--he was fine. Whew! But what about the clingy thing? Who knows what that was/is, but I am loving every minute that he wants to cuddle. It has been some of our sweetest time together, as he seems to calm down on hearing my voice and being close. I even read him his first two books. I am already considering the basket case I will be when I have to drop him off at the babysitter's when I return to school. :(

hey sweets, that date night sounded wonderful. I would just say be thankful for any help, enjoy the little times with your hubby, and don't expect every date to be wonderful. I know we really struggled with date nights and 8 years after having our first they are few & far between. Yall are great parents and God is good! Keep your eyes on Him and He will keep your and Chris's eyes on each other. Miss you!
Amy-he is precious! And that is a greta picture of you guys! So glad things are going so well!
